Getting Started
Installation
- Download Driver Ledger from the App Store or Google Play Store
- Install the app on your device
- Open the app and create an account or sign in
Adding Your First Vehicle
- Tap the "Vehicles" tab
- Tap the "+" button in the top right corner
- Enter vehicle details:
- Make and model
- Year
- License plate
- Initial odometer reading
- Fuel type (gasoline, diesel, electric, etc.)
- Tap "Save" to add the vehicle
Basic Operations
Recording Fuel Refills
- Tap the "Expenses" tab
- Tap the "+" button
- Select "Fuel" as the category
- Choose the vehicle
- Enter the following details:
- Date
- Amount (gallons/liters)
- Price per unit
- Total cost
- Odometer reading
- Location (optional)
- Tap "Save" to record the fuel refill
Tracking Maintenance
- Tap the "Maintenance" tab
- Tap the "+" button
- Select the maintenance type (oil change, tire rotation, etc.)
- Choose the vehicle
- Enter date, cost, and odometer reading
- Add notes (optional)
- Tap "Save" to record the maintenance
Recording Income
- Tap the "Income" tab
- Tap the "+" button
- Enter the income amount
- Select the income category (ride-sharing, delivery, etc.)
- Choose the vehicle (if applicable)
- Enter date and description
- Tap "Save" to record the income
Using Reports
Generating Reports
- Tap the "Reports" tab
- Select the report type:
- Income and Expense Summary
- Fuel Efficiency Report
- Maintenance History
- Detailed Expense Breakdown
- Set the date range
- Choose the vehicle (if multiple vehicles)
- Tap "Generate" to create the report
- Tap "Export" to save or share the report
Analyzing Data
Driver Ledger provides visual charts and graphs to help you analyze your vehicle data. You can view:
- Monthly expense trends
- Fuel efficiency over time
- Cost breakdown by category
- Income vs. expenses comparison
Advanced Features
Settings
- Profile: Update your personal information
- Notifications: Set reminder preferences
- Units: Choose between metric or imperial units
- Backup: Manage cloud backup settings
